What this job involves
The Sport, Leisure & Entertainment (SL&E) Team part of Strategic Consulting (SCON) provides strategic advisory services such as highest and best use studies, market and financial feasibility studies, concept development and master planning input, operator search & selection engagements and operational assessments.
Conduct secondary and primary research.
Source and update secondary data and maintain/update internal databases.
Review and finalize SL&E reports with excellent skills in terms of report writing, financial analysis, and preparing and finalizing proposal documents.
Understand Middle East & Africa market dynamics and the drivers of sport, leisure & entertainment sector
Keep abreast of key trends/developments in the global sport, leisure & entertainment sector.
Drive and contribute business development where possible and attend networking events and prepare pitch documents and presentation to existing clients and prospects.
Manage the input in weekly reporting status of enquiries, leads, proposals and projects in progress.
Develop and implement recommendations, insights, storylines, and structures related to SL&E assets and experiences
Prepare, supervise and manage the development of high-quality deliverables.
Take accountability for ensuring that the highest quality deliverables are provided to JLL management and/or clients.
Liaise with peers and other JLL departments to coordinate inputs for reports.
Provide cross selling opportunities into local and international JLL teams.
Communicate with all stakeholders and colleagues to ensure the delivery of tasks are managed in an efficient and professional manner.
Be pro-active in raising issues to JLL management and when required address these accordingly.
Ensure highest quality standards in accordance with JLL standard.
Ensure that you build and maintain goodwill, confidentiality, and trust with prospective and existing clients.
Be always professional.
Prepare and write (sections or whole) reports and presentations, as requested.
Manage Analyst and Client to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget and reflect JLL quality.
Desired experience and technical skills
Relevant bachelor’s degree from a reputable university in leisure, sport, tourism, hospitality or entertainment or combination
Master's degree in business, finance, investment, or a related field (leisure, tourism, hospitality) preferred
The candidate should be passionate about the sector with ideally 8-10 years of relevant in sports, leisure, and entertainment real estate experience.
Arabic speaker is preferred
Candidates with experience in real estate development, hospitality advisory, tourism, leisure and sport operation or hotel consulting are preferred.
Candidates are expected to have functional knowledge of the regional and global sport, leisure & entertainment market.
Good verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Clear and logical strategic thinker with well-developed report writing skills.
Able to sit in front of the computer for long hours at a time.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work well with Excel and financial models.
Understanding of P&L, Financial Projections & Real Estate Development.
Skilled to develop feasibility studies with complete understanding of how to develop ROI, IRR, NPV, Payback etc.
Understanding real estate development and SL&E development.
Understanding demand determination and forecasting.
Skills to analyze monthly, yearly P&Ls and convert it into Report.
Strong team player with the ability to build relationships.
Be able to write reports based on financial analysis outcomes.
Must be able to understand and review Operator Management Agreements.
Exceptional customer service with a client focus.
Flexible to travel to meet clients as required.
