Job Purpose


The job holder will be responsible to plan, direct and coordinate construction of designated project and accomplish project delivery in line with company objectives/goals within the targeted timeframe, quality and budget.


Key Accountabilities


  • Involve actively in defining project goals and key result areas to balance between ideal technical approaches/strategies and project scope against business plan and priorities for finding best compromise.
  • Monitor the approval process of various Local Authority permits/NOCs and liaise with authorities when found necessary, for avoiding potential delays to scheduled project execution plan.
  • Attend regular progress meetings with consultant & contractor and review progress against planned program to ensure optimum utilization of the project resources as planned. Communicate changes/modifications when found necessary.
  • Seek and obtain sufficient factual information from available sources and communicate with the Superior to support strategic decisions for resolving project implementation issues. Discuss clearly reasoned alternatives, if any, to assist with decision making on the way forward.
  • Conducts project reviews and site walk-throughs with project consultants to understand construction issues concisely and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Involve actively in the technical resolution of everyday issues & challenges at site.
  • Perform general evaluation of consultant’s / contractor's interim valuations in accordance with the contract and monitor project cost against budget. 
  • Perform general evaluation of claims/variations and assist in concluding employer determination as required by contract.
  • Monitor the performance of consultants and contractors again the Company business plan, policies/objectives and report potential risks and concerns, if any, to management for rectifying shortfalls promptly.
  • Coordinate with the end user's management team and ensure all operational requirements are strictly met in line with Nakheel objectives.

Qualifications, Experiences, Skills:


•             Bachelor's degree in civil/ architecture; Master’s degree preferred.


•             Certification in Project Management – preferred.


Job Specific Skills:          


  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders (internal and external). 
  • Ability to adapt and implement changes to projects while maintaining objectives.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure project quality. 
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload.
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Basic understanding of data analysis to track budgets and project progress.
