Dubai, UAE


The role will be primarily office based with flexibility for remote working.  Travel to Iraq on a visiting basis may be required.


THE ROLE


We are seeking to hire an exceptional individual with 7-10 years of consulting experience. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting financial analysis and business case assessments to support the development of national-level strategies across key economic sectors and inform policy formulation. The role provides the opportunity to work closely with national authorities to make a meaningful contribution, promoting sustainable economic growth and social development.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluate and analyse financial, market and operational data to support the development of comprehensive business cases.
  • Conduct in-depth market assessments, including supply and demand analysis to understand market dynamics as well as competitive market landscapes.
  • Build and develop advanced financial models, including IRR, NPV, Payback period, and ROI to analyse the financial feasibility of projects.
  • Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to address project uncertainties and external influences.
  • Evaluate project business and operating models, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvement.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise presentations of business cases to senior decision makers.
  • Ad-hoc analysis on topics of importance to the client.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as CFA (or progress toward CFA) is a plus
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience ideally in consulting, financial analysis, or strategic planning
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, investment analysis, and business case development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholder
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
COMPETENCIES
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and presentation skills
  • Outstanding written and oral skills in English
  • Knowledge of Arabic is desirable
