Trendyol is seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader for our legal operations in the Gulf region, based in Dubai. In this role, you will offer expert legal counsel on business operations across the Gulf region, with a primary focus on the Operations, Tax and Operations Regulatory compliance. You will manage legal risks, ensure compliance, and support business units on legal matters related to products and services. This leadership position presents a unique opportunity to shape the company’s legal strategy while working in a fast-growing, dynamic e-commerce environment. We are looking for a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader, ready to contribute directly to Trendyol’s success in the Gulf region.Main Responsibilities
- Research in various fields of law that may affect the business and preparing legal opinions to clarify legal issues.
- Work closely with our business and compliance team, advising business units on legal issues.
- Draft and revise documents, agreements and petitions.
- Review and negotiate agreements,
- Evaluate and responde cease and desist letters and inform the relevant teams.
- Follow up new legistlation changes and inform related business units.
- Deep knowledge and experience in Law of Obligations, Rental Law, Labor Law, Contractual Law, Commercial Law.
- Experience in Transportation and Logistics Law (regarding domestic and international carriage by road and air) and litigation.
Your Profile
- Extensive experience in tax, trade and regulatory law, with expertise in UAE and regional legal frameworks.
- Experience in Transportation and Logistics Law (regarding domestic and international carriage by road and air) and litigation.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Arabic, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts to non-legal teams.
- Proven ability to manage legal matters in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing practical, actionable legal advice.
- Sound legal reasoning, thoroughness, very good legal writing skills.
- Experience managing legal risks and handling negotiations, particularly in commercial or e-commerce sectors.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools; familiarity with legal software is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years post qualification experience as a lawyer at an international law firms or as an in-house lawyer or a combination of both (preferred).
