What you will contribute:
The Senior FX trader is responsible for providing regional coverage over FX markets, collaborating with the Pricing team to deliver consumer level pricing analysis, and the supporting local and global Treasury efforts. This position serves as a consultant to internal business financial customers, providing FX and banking solutions for pricing-value improvement and new product development. Develops and maintains strong relationships with business financial leadership and external banking partners. Understands MoneyGram businesses and strategies, with a focus on business process, Treasury and Pricing optimization. Serves as a catalyst for change management.
What you’ll do:
Explores and engages with market participants to develop insight into pricing improvement opportunities within the wholesale FX markets within a particular country or region. Develops in-depth understanding of country or regionally emerging market currencies. Develops and manages banking and broker relationships to facilitate emerging market FX trading. Monitors, funds, and supports crypto currency trading and partnership activities for global treasury transactions executed 24 hours, 7 days per week. Collaborates with Finance-Pricing teams to provide consumer pricing strategies through FX market insight, wholesale trading, and base rate modifications. Execute FX wholesale trades for Corporate Treasury, focused on minimizing cash balances and FX exposure. Work with Cash Management team in other parts of the company to forecast FX cash balances and facilitate trade settlement.
What we’re looking for:
Education BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Experience
3-5+ years’ experience in finance, pricing, treasury, or foreign exchange,
ideally with a broker. 3-5+ years’ proven experience effectively working across multiple business lines in a global company.
Skills
Strong desire to explore pricing disparities within FX markets stemming from a consumer, interbank, and regulatory perspective. Proven communication and presentations skills; ability to share and clearly explain business insight, findings, and judgement to senior management. Excellent analytical and organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to navigate dynamic environment with changing priorities. Proven experience effectively working with bank processing and currency movements. Ability to facilitate meetings in gathering and negotiating requirements to ensure full disclosure on banking and brokerage partners. Ability to logically present market information and concepts by tailoring approach both verbally and written. Proven ability to mentor staff and collaborate across a global enterprise.
