JOB PURPOSE:
Develops well engineering technologies from concept to implementation. Produces the completion and workover programs to meet the expected well conditions and ensures well integrity. Assure well completion is conducted through accurate equipment configuration and objective evaluation of technologies.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Specifies the applications of best practices & technology to assure the technical excellence in well completion and workover engineering design including well integrity.
Specifies appropriate well completion /workover and abandonment techniques and materials.
Conducts technical evaluation and economic analysis of new completion tools for trial test.
Prepares special testing program for the trial of new tools. Produces progress time-depth and cost-depth curves for the completion & workover phases.
Prepares specification of material and equipment requirements. Prepares and optimize well completion and workover procedures.
Develop and act as the custodian of the Well Design and Development Manuals, Well Completion Manuals, ensure assigned manuals are regularly updated reviewed and updated to remain relevant and up to date and in line with international industry best practices.
Conducts technical reviews and verification of well completion design and workover equipment and completion fluid.
Provides rig site technical assistance during critical completion & workover operations. Provides trouble shooting advice and guidance on operational and technical problems
Contributes to the identification of hazards in the well drilling, completion and workover environment.
Conducts inspection of the tubing, downhole and wellhead equipment recovered from workover wells whenever necessary.
Conducts post completion performance report and provide technical advice. Conducts assessments of completion equipment selection and application.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Petroleum discipline.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
8 - 12 years of experience
