Job Description
- Ability to manage/lead a design and approval process interfacing with the project team, Clients and Stakeholders
- In-depth and strong understanding of Dubai/ Abu Dhabi/UAE/KSA and Qatar Authority guidelines is a must
- Experienced in BIM In-depth understanding of relevant software is a must, Revit knowledge is additional.
- Experienced from Data collection, validation, Prepare Concept master plan stage to Detailed Master Plan in terms of utility corridor space proofing, ROW, coordination with wet, roads, transportation, landscape and building teams
- Develop Master plan report, derive demand load calculations, tie in point requirements, Full understanding of dry utilities and infrastructure projects from Concept to IFC stage
- Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects
- Strong experience in primary substation requirements, allocating MV, HV & EHV corridor up to 400kV level, requirements of Package type/building distribution and pocket type distribution substations, feeder pillars and service turrets, MV up to 33kV and above, LV networks, calculations, excellent report writing skills
- Understanding of 132/220/400 KV overhead and underground lines, relocation, and protection requirements of dry utilities including power, telecom and lighting.
- Prepare/Review the telecommunication infrastructure Network Design including ducts, manholes and experience GSM tower requirements, MMR/POP room requirements
- Design and Review of Street Lighting for all type of roads, ROW, Lighting Calculations, SLDs, Load schedules, landscape lighting branch wiring etc.,
- Prepare the technical drawings and calculations required for SOS approval and Power supply master plan approval
- Prepare the technical drawings, calculations, report as per local authority and town planning department requirements for each dry services
- Responsible to obtain the authority approvals with minimal revisions in coordination with all local authorities of Middle East and all external Stakeholders through our stakeholder management team
- Prepare/Review Clarifications to Contractor RFIs, Review/approve any key technical submittals related to electrical works and dry utilities(if required)
- Work towards digitalization skills, innovations, and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across individuals, teams, and projects
- Using leadership skills to build and nurture relationships and also creating effective working environments
- Able to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams
- Manage the electrical engineers and CAD technicians in the project(s), effective reporting to line manager/team leader on daily basis in coordination with project manager and other all relevant disciplines as required.
- Strong knowledge and focus towards to Quality of design, review and take ownership of the deliverables produced and ensure the design safety is followed in all projects including identifying risks, mitigation and design assumptions registers update
- Design of electrical systems and dry utilities using Auto CAD Civil3D experience and skills including ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, BIM etc
- Experienced in Electrical design softwares such as ETAP, Amtech, Dialux and other power system studies including Load flow analysis, short circuit studies, harmonic analysis, motor acceleration studies, transient and steady state analysis
- Build and maintain client relationships. Attends client meetings as technical support to gather information and discuss project requirements, explain/ defend work, etc. Participates in the development and preparation of bids and proposals—the ability to present solutions to clients in a professional and technically competent manner.
Minimum Requirements
- More than 10 years of experience in Design
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelors' Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering,
- Master’s degree in Energy/Renewable Energy and/ or Electrical and Electronic Engineering is preferred, not mandatory
Chartered Professional(C.Eng.) or working towards Chartered, and holding professional license/certification
