Senior DBA (6-Months)-(Contract)

As a Senior DBA at BlackStone eIT, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle database environments. This contract position spans six months, during which you will ensure optimal database performance, availability, and security while working closely with development teams to support application requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database management, performance tuning, and backup recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Installation and Configuration: Oversee installation, configuration, and tuning of Oracle databases to meet software and operational needs.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor database performance and carry out optimization to ensure high availability and to facilitate efficient data access.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement robust backup and recovery solutions to safeguard and recover data as necessary.
• Security Management: Enforce database security policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with application developers to support database-related aspects of system design and integration.
• Database Upgrades: Manage and execute database upgrades and migrations in compliance with best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and policies.
• Support: Provide troubleshooting support for database issues and implement corrective actions as required.
