Senior Analyst – Transport & Land Use

What you'll deliver
You’ll be responsible to support the team on various areas of scope; includes all modes of transport, both airside and land side including the interface with RTA infrastructure and services. The landside remit includes access roads, forecourts, car parking, wider airport surface access, rail, super gates and all other transport related interfaces to and from the airport. The airside scope includes all transport activities including airside roads, staging areas, airside parking and automated transportation including APM's.
You’ll analyze historic performance data which will be used to determine and inform future capacity simulation modelling. Which will be used to develop future capacity requirements that are aligned with forecast traffic growth and target service levels.You will also be responsible for analytical support of the seasonal capacity declaration process at DWC and DXB as required. The outputs from the role will support the master plan process as key information input on facility requirements, demand and required service levels.
You’ll be responsible for designing concept layouts in conjunction with developing the concept of operations for the proposed development or operational changes.; to ensure a safe and efficient movement of people and vehicles. The individual will support the Manager in the development and processes related to the Airport Land Use Plans. This will include capturing requirements in both the physical land use plan and a supporting database, capturing coordinated and estimated spatial metrics.
Overall, you will undertake the analysis of various performance data to inform the business on current operational trends and compare against service standards which will used to develop future capacity requirements through various assessments and models.
What you bring
You’ll be educated to a degree Level with a specialization in Transport or Civil Engineering/ Transport Planning or related field.
You’ll have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a design role, preferably in an Airport or Transport related organization.
You’ll have experience in developing concept designs for road infrastructure requirements (such as parking facilities, GSE roads, and transport facilities)
You’ll have an understanding of land use and master planning principles for developments such as an airports or transport interchanges
You’ll have high proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, along with the use of other modelling, design tools (such as AviPlan, Adobe suite) and GIS tools (such as ArcGIS)
You’ll have understanding of developing and using traffic engineering and simulation models (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, CAST).
You’ll have a very good ability to communicate data and information in a manner that is readily understood by a wide audience of varied experiences.
P.Eng / C.Eng certification/ Master’s degree in Engineering is desirable.
