We are currently recruiting for a  Senior Analyst – Reconciliation & Control for one of our client to be based out of their Dubai office.

Job Purpose:

  • Responsible for execution of reconciliation processes for Operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • This role will focus on maintaining strong internal controls, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to safeguard the company's assets and financial data.
  • This role is based within the within the Operations Excellence function. Operations Team is broken down into 4 pillars, Retail Operations, Corporate Operations, Shared Services Operations and Operations Excellence. The Operations function reports directly into the COO.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, Reconciliation matrix, have experience in reconciliation tools & financial reporting, and be highly skilled in process optimization and risk management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Daily review of the reconciliations process, analysis of the reconciling items, investigation into the books and records to identify the resolution, initiate action to resolve the items and complete necessary documentation and communication of the outcome. Act as back up for Reconciliation Manager.
  • Ensure department wise general ledger records are maintained and updated, and timely completion & validation of Reconciliation process.
  • Track the resolution of any reconciliation-related issues, ensuring compliance with bank policies and substantiation standards, and provide up to date timely reporting of issues to senior management.
  • Supporting the Substantiation owners for any queries and resolution of outstanding items
  • Document reconciliation processes, workflows, and best practices, ensuring that team members have access to accurate and up-to-date guidelines.
  • Monitor and evaluate existing control for efficiency and effectiveness, recommending improvements where necessary. Identify and lead the initiatives to streamline and automate reconciliation processes, with digital first mindset, by collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, accounting, treasury) and supporting on project related activities (UAT, FSD and BRD).
  • Role holder is required ensure complete adherence to ensure effective oversight and adherence of reconciliation principles & substantiation standards.
  • Bank is currently undergoing a major change process and that has increased the expectations.  The Department structure and the processes are undergoing major transition to enhance the internal competence and external competitiveness of the bank.  As a part of this transition all operations processes are being re-engineered with a digital first mindset to enable a front to back digital operations function.
