We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team based in Dubai. Immediate Start Available.
Purpose of the role:
Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action. You will be supporting the CFO and CEO on a wide range of financial management activities including month end accounts preparation, financial planning and analysis for multiple companies, management of ERP system for multi-company accounting.
Financial Accounting and Reporting:
• Ensure proper recording of all financial transactions, including quarter and year-end closing entries.
• Prepare quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports on a fortnightly basis.
• Ensure accurate and timely consolidation of subsidiary financial statements including elimination of intercompany transactions and balances to present consolidated financial results.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through reconciliation and review processes.
• Management of Accounts team.
• Prepare Quarterly Reporting Forms and disclosures for submission to Regulatory Authorities.
Tax Compliance:
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including UAE and US tax returns.
Audit Support:
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
• Provide documentation and support for audit inquiries.
• Implement audit recommendations to strengthen internal controls.
Financial Analysis:
• Conduct financial analysis including valuation, pro forma merger scenarios, cash flow and liquidity analysis, returns analysis, through the development of detailed financial and operating models.
• Carry out financial modeling, valuation and preliminary due diligence that support the assessment of M&A opportunities.
Qualifications:
Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience:
5+ years’ experience as Chartered Accountant.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software – Oracle Netsuite, SAP.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis techniques.
Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations of UAE and US jurisdictions.
Experience in coordinating with external auditors during audits.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
