Job Description
Job Overview : GEMS Winchester School, Dubai is looking for a passionate and motivated Secondary Physics Teacher to join our exceptional team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Physics concepts and a desire to inspire and challenge students in their learning. You will play an important role in delivering dynamic and engaging lessons, helping students excel in their studies, and preparing them for exams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver effective, engaging lessons on Physics topics to students in secondary school, aligned with the curriculum Regularly assess students understanding and provide timely feedback and support to help them improve Create detailed lesson plans that cater to a range of learning styles, making sure content is accessible and challenging Foster a positive learning environment, maintaining discipline and motivating students to participate actively Work with other subject teachers to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Collaborate on school-wide initiatives and curriculum development Regularly update parents on student progress, address concerns, and attend parent-teacher meetings Contribute to the school’s broader activities, such as science clubs, science fairs, or mentoring students in physics-related events
Skills
The successful applicant will be required to have the following:
B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge. Have a proven track record of providing outstanding learning and teaching Excellent classroom management and organizational skills Ability to convey complex Physics concepts in a clear and accessible way, both verbally and in writing Have a willingness to collaborate and share their outstanding practice Have a growth mindset, whereby they are reflective and solution focused Be creative and enthusiastic in their approach to teaching
Education
B.Ed or Bachelors degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent
