Job Description
GEMS Winchester School, Dubai is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic team for the AY 2025 - 2026. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and inspiring students to achieve excellence in Mathematics. As a key member of the school’s academic team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging, and inclusive lessons to secondary school students, enabling them to develop a deep understanding and love of the subject.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver Mathematics lessons that are aligned with the curriculum, ensuring that students of all abilities are challenged and supported Foster a positive learning environment, focusing on both academic achievement and personal growth Regularly assess student progress through various forms of assessment, provide constructive feedback, and set clear targets for improvement Maintain a safe, disciplined, and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect Work closely with your department to share resources, ideas, and best practices. Collaborate with staff to ensure consistency across the school’s teaching and learning approach Provide regular updates to parents regarding student progress and behavior, and engage with them during parent-teacher meetings
Skills
Successful candidates will need to:
Have a Bachelor and Master Degree in Mathematics or subject related degree Have in-depth understanding of Mathematics concepts Ability to create engaging lesson plans and foster a supportive classroom environment Strong classroom management skills Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner Proficiency in using technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students Adaptability and cultural sensitivity, especially in an international school setting
Education
B.Ed/M.Ed or Bachelors degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent
