Your Opportunity
We are looking for a SCADA Operator will oversee the technical operation of a district cooling plant. He will be responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing plant operations through the SCADA system, ensuring efficient energy usage, equipment performance, and timely response to system alarms and faults.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to multi-task and manage various tasks, and good communication. Excellent organisation, time management and prioritizing skills.
This role is part of the Technical team and will be based in our Rihan Heights Contract.
Key Accountabilities
Continuously monitor plant operations through the SCADA system, including chillers, pumps, valves, and other critical equipment
Adjust system parameters to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and reliability of cooling distribution
Record, analyze, and report on operational data from the SCADA system
Identify trends, system issues, or anomalies and provide recommendations for process improvements
Respond promptly to system alarms, troubleshooting issues in collaboration with maintenance teams
Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers or supervisors as required.
Specific Requirements
Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in district cooling or utilities.
Proficient in operating and troubleshooting SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell).
Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and field instrumentation
Technically competent with a clear technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in district cooling plants.
