At the heart of every great stay is a great host. We think the trick to hosting is to take the time to understand what your guests need, and want. So, before they arrive, we find out more about them and how we can make their stay better. Whilst they are with us, we give tempting recommendations of our favourite drinks or food, or tips for local experiences that they won’t find in any guide book.


Your day to day


  • Develop and implement sales strategies focused on the leisure market to achieve and exceed revenue targets. 
  • Identify key trends and opportunities in the leisure segment and adapt sales strategies accordingly
  • Review market analysis to determine client needs, occupancy potential, desired rates, etc.
  • Negotiate with clients to achieve maximum profit while satisfying client needs.
  • Identify and analyse competitor hotels both locally and regionally to understand competitor strengths and weaknesses.
  • Prepare and review weekly sales reports listing daily efforts, including a summary of all definite and tentative business booked along with any cancellations and/ or lost business.
  • Coordinate transient and group room commitments to ensure proper market mix.
  • Enhance the hotel’s community image and stays abreast of competition, new developments, and sales methods and techniques in the hotel industry.
  • Build networking opportunities and represent the hotel’s interests in local issues by regularly attending local Chamber of Commerce, Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, hotel associations, and trade shows.
  • Possess deep knowledge of business product offering and value proposition.
  • Follow organisational policies and regulations that affect the Sales department.
  • Proactively pursue new business and sales opportunities.
  • Solve problems for clients and customers by developing innovative and tailored sales solutions.
  • Active outside face-to-face sales calling required (minimum 5 sales calls per day)
  • Entertainments a week with the client and 2 show arounds

What we need from you


At voco Dubai, we look for hosts who are Reliably different and contribute in the success of bringing our brand to life!


  • Ideally, you’ll have a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel or Hospitality Management (or equivalent) 
  • At least two (2) years’ experiences in a similar role in a 5 stars hotel. Previous hotel experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required. 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player
