Job Description

The Engineered Systems Sales Director will work hand in hand with the current Sales Director and be ultimately responsible for the role, implementing the Company’s Sales strategy and business development activities across the entire Middle East & Africa (MEA) region, managing the entire sales team (of about 10 individuals), meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets for Products, Projects and Services business units, with emphasis on value selling of the VWTS technologies and solutions, securing and negotiating contracts with clients and ensuring clients’ satisfaction. The individual must have a successful track record of managing sales teams and meeting / exceeding sales targets.


Essential Responsibilities ;


  • Be committed to and implement a culture of full adherence to EHS, Compliance and other business related processes, principles and requirements of the Company
  • Achieve / exceed MEA’s sales and growth targets for each P&L (Products, Projects and Services)
  • Evaluate Sales team’s performance on a regular basis and support in order to meet objectives and maintain clients’ satisfaction
  • Coach, guide and develop sales team to build and maintain a sustainable list of business opportunities and pipeline across the MEA region to achieve profitable growth
  • Plan regular opportunity review/rhythm calls for all three P&Ls (Products, Projects, Services) and meetings with the sales team and regional / global support functions
  • Prepare and present regular reports on the sales activities to the regional and global management of the Company
  • Prepare and implement sales and business development plans for the region and keep a record of progress and report to management accordingly
  • Develop strong professional and strategic relationship with key clients and end users at management level
  • Prepare reports on market dynamics, drivers and growth industries for each country and set target accounts in cooperation with the sales team
  • Drive growth and profitable opportunities by challenging the team to expand the WTS portfolio offering.
  • Maintain an active win / loss list with guidelines on market pricing  
  • Create a culture of customer centricity by building on best practices through value generation, industry and application knowledge and expertise along with humility and empathy for the clients
  • Support the sales team to identify, evaluate, prioritize and mitigate business risks.
  • Be actively involved in negotiating and closing profitable contracts with the clients in line with VWTS processes and guidelines in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business with demonstrable sales leadership and team management experience
  • Minimum of 15 years’ of experience with proven results in sales leader and business development of water/wastewater industry
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to manage working in multi-national and large global organizations while acting as a team member
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and schedule commitments
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels of customer organization and within the Company
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience working with senior client representatives, government officials
  • Ability to travel to meet customers and team members within the MEA region without any restrictions
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing) 
  • Enhanced computer skills, Google Suite/Workspace, which is used across Veolia Group.
