Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Inspector to join our team for a rail construction project. The work will be 6 days per week and the ideal candidate will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of the construction site to ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulations.
• Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols, procedures, and policies.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for improvement.
• Provide HSE training and awareness programs to site personnel.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and training sessions.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Stay updated with the latest HSE regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
Education and Certification Requirements:
• Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certification is mandatory.
• Additional certifications such as IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) are preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in rail or construction projects.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management software.
