Could you be the full-time onsite Rolling Stock Quality Engineer in Dubai, United Arab Emirates that  we’re looking for?



Your future role


"Take on a new challenge and apply your meticulous and comprehensive expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, innovative, and collaborative teammates. You'll ensure the highest standards of quality in our rolling stock by managing retrofit activities and fleetwide inspections to meet our rigorous Quality requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Quality Management, and Supplier Relations), maintain and update critical documentation, and much more."


We’ll look to you for:


  • Ensuring fleet-wide inspections are being performed as per the defined containment action and agreed monitoring scope,


  • Following the 8D process for all critical and epidemic failures related to Rail Systems,


  • Maintaining all Quality control records for retrofit activities and fleetwide containment actions,


  • Ensuring the documentation updates for all retrofit and fleetwide inspections,


  • Managing the traceability matrix for retrofit works,


  • Being familiar with special processes like Torque tightening,


  • Reporting Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for any hardware failure via Online Alstom supplier portal and following up to get the inputs from the supplier for final closure,


  • Maintaining the calibration register,


  • Attending internal meetings with the Quality manager and Subsystem manager to provide updates on the progress of daily activities,


  • Monitoring and following up on the progress of the punchlist closure

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering,


  • Experience or understanding of quality control processes in the rail industry,


  • Knowledge of the 8D problem-solving process,


  • Familiarity with retrofit operations and fleetwide inspections,


  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in using the Alstom supplier portal,


  • Ability to manage and maintain a traceability matrix for retrofit activities,


  • Competence in maintaining calibration registers and ensuring the accuracy of quality control records,


  • Understanding of special processes such as torque tightening,


  • Experience in non-conformance reporting and supplier follow-up for issue resolution,


  • Proven track record of effective participation in internal meetings with Quality and Subsystem managers
