Job Title: Robotic Surgery Consultant
JOB SUMMARY
The role of Robotic Surgery Practitioner is to support the robotic surgical service at RDUH North through a range of activities. The Robotic Surgery Practitioner will be a responsible, reliable and skilled individual who will ensure consistently high standards of surgical patient care are met when undergoing robotically assisted surgery. The appointed person will have responsibility as a surgical first assistant for robotic surgery cases across the specialties of general surgery. The practitioner would be expected to function as a part of the surgical team and support all aspects of care relating to robotic surgical cases peri and intra-operatively and be actively involved in training.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides high-quality care to patients in this area of medicine.
Provide consultative service as requested.
Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and Participates in research activities.
Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
Performs special procedures as privileged.
Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education
Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
Completion of required period of training in robotics
Saudi Arab or American /European Board Certification or equivalent.
Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required
Dataflow is a must. Professional Experience
Min. 3-4 years Post Board/Fellowship in specialty.
Language
Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
