About the location:
This role is for pre-opening project of Mediterranean Cuisine Brasserie
What you will do
Drive Employee Engagement strategies and promote a positive culture and effective environment for a large team.
Lead, coach, and mentor team to support their success and development.
Oversee the guest experience, ensuring service quality and consistency, as reflected in Medallia, LQA results.
Proactively review hotel products, services, and procedures to uphold and evolve our offering.
Execute global programs, initiatives, and projects as assigned globally.
Manage key financial metrics including expense management and profitability analysis to achieve the Hotel’s budget performance.
Stakeholder management with ownership, external suppliers, and internal teams, including communication, reporting, and budget management.
Participate in and develop staff training programs and development plans to minimize staff turnover and maintain high morale, with particular emphasis on individuals qualifying for future advancement.
Meet with the Director of Food & Beverage regularly to communicate all Food & Beverage activities and results of the Food & Beverage meeting or any other related issues.
Actively network within the community to attract potential candidates for recruitment purposes.
Prepare reviews and development plans and take appropriate personnel-related action (i.e., hire, commend, discipline, evaluate, etc.) with staff as required.
Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees, supervisors, and assistant managers in the Hotel’s Restaurant to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met, including long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
Inventory control while focusing on creative revenue generation solutions to maximize profit.
Be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests, and cultivate relationships with new patrons.
Work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs to design effective menus and wine lists while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.
Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
Assist in other areas of the department as needed.
What You Bring
Strategic, analytical, and solid business acumen.
A proven track record in delivering outstanding results as a Restaurant General Manager.
Restaurant pre-opening experience is must.
Deep knowledge of Mediterranean, French, Italian, Spanish cuisines is required.
A leadership style that is authentic, engaging, and strategic, based on identified business priorities.
Capable of mentoring and driving direct reports to achieve excellence and professional growth.
Impeccable communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
Hygiene knowledge for Restaurant Operation.
Possess an eye for detail and organization.
Knowledge of Birchstreet purchasing system is a plus.
Proficient in all Microsoft programs.
Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, and accounting.
Flexible schedule – able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, overtime, and evening/overnights if needed.
