1.Identify, develop and undertake new research initiatives.
2.Develop, implement, monitor and review Research Project plans and strategies in close co-ordination with the head of the Department.
3.Initiate, build and manage strategic relationships with key agencies and relevant professional bodies concerned with research and policy at local, regional & international level.
4.Co-develop and drive key research fundraising activities for the research project or initiative.
5.Represent the School externally when required in order to advance the relevant research initiative/project.
6.Author or contribute to publications or disseminating research findings through policy venues and media channels appropriate to the discipline.
7.Contribute to developing and/or delivering educational programs (within the School’s Academic Degrees or executive education modules) in relevant research and expertise areas.
8.Contribute to or lead presentations and public speaking engagements at conferences or exhibit work at other appropriate events.
9.Contribute to or lead the organization and running research events and forums related to their area of expertise.
10.Lead issue-focused meetings and forums with government officials, policy makers, and/or academics in their area of expertise.
11.Assess, interpret and evaluate outcomes of research by affiliated junior researchers and team members.
12.Develop new research partnerships, promoting research areas and influencing leading research practices.
13.Decide on research programs and methodologies, in collaboration with peers, subject to approval of the head of the research program on strategic issues.
14.Contribute to knowledge generation, knowledge exchange and knowledge transfer activities.
15.Mentor, coach and support junior researchers in the department.
16.Mentor students enrolled in the School’s Academic Degrees, who are conducting research on relevant research areas, including providing co-supervision, in coordination with the relevant Academic Affairs management and faculty.
Either a PhD in their field of specialization with 7 years of policy research experience, or a Master degree with 10 years of research experience in a related field Experience
7 to 10 years of experience in research, possessing deep specialist knowledge in the discipline, with proven abilities to develop full research programs and initiatives
