Project Overview:



Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world’s busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports. As we consider the future of aviation globally and in the GCC, we are very enthusiastic about the future of aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We are currently considering candidates with aviation, other transportation or complex public accessible building project experience to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh should it be awarded to Bechtel. This posting serves as an expression of interest only.

Job Summary:



In this role, you will provide non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects. You will establish stakeholder relationships, conduct schedule analysis and integrate activities, identify restraints, quantify risks, monitor cost and performance, recommend alternatives, and deliver training sessions and workshops. Your activities will synthesize project components into seamless execution.

Major Responsibilities:



Coordinates cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs Identifies schedule considerations and problems resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces Monitors and reports critical path and schedule performance of the total project Conducts project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities. Collects and analyzes alternatives for schedule improvement. Coordinates cost recording, monitoring, & reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards Coordinates the development and accuracy of cost reports Prepares specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures Oversees the maintenance and upkeep of detailed project risk register through ongoing reviews to ensure data quality, accuracy, and timeliness including facilitation support during the risk workshops, risk identification sessions and other risk related activities Delivers training sessions and facilitates workshops

Education and Experience Requirements:



Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:



Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications. Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes, and understanding of Controller instructions, which impact Project Controls (including Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Determination Data). Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel. Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience. Prior Middle-East work experience preferred. Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
