SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
As a Regional Fireproofing Specialist, you will provide high quality professional advise, technical expertise, on-site support to customers, as well as technical training to Jotun’s sales and technical services teams across regional markets. You will also oversee the practical execution of key fireproofing projects within Protective Coatings, working independently to plan, coach, and monitor activities, ensuring all projects meet coating specifications and satisfy both customer and Jotun standards.
This position will be based in Dubai, UAE; and will report to the Regional Technical Services & Support Manager.
Responsibilities
Act as the Regional PFP Specialist by engaging with customers and stakeholders to provide guidance, share information, and ensure thorough understanding of product applications within the specialized PFP concept/service.
Collaborate closely with Regional TSS Managers and the Global PFP Technical Service Specialist on key regional projects, planning and overseeing activities to meet coating specifications and manage customer expectations.
Conduct complaint inspections and compile detailed reports to support investigation and resolution processes.
Deliver training for both internal and external applicators through practical and theoretical sessions to ensure competency and approval in applying PFP products.
Organize and deliver specialized Advanced Hydrocarbon PFP training programs to develop team competency as per segment strategy.
Prepare comprehensive technical reports based on on-site observations to support project documentation and quality assurance.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
- Icorr-PFP Coating Inspector Level 2, NACE Level 3 or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience in sales support, field technical services, PFP equipments , technical training and customer interaction
- In-depth knowledge within Hydrocarbon and Cellulosic fireproofing industry best practices and standards
- Strong ability to gather, interpret, and analyze data to prepare technical reports
- Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external customers
- Ability to work collaboratively across various departments, coordinating with sales, TSS, and support teams to ensure alignment and efficiency
