Position Summary:



  • The regional delivery manager CISMEA plays a vital role to maintain proximity with PAY Digital customers in three sub regions (CIS, Middle East & Africa) when it comes to customer projects and services.
  • Work very closely with the head of regional team in both regions and align on the tactics and engagement plans for our customers & prospects.
  • Interface as well with different internal teams inside the product line like business owners, products, pre-sales and customer operations.
  • The Regional Delivery Manager is the accountable in the regions to ensure that PAY delivery teams are properly sized, trained and that the org is delivering our projects and services to all our customers with the target time to market (TTM) and target delivery revenue margin to support our business growth ambition. Doing so while maintaining the highest Customer Satisfaction and Net Promotor Scores from customers based on their project onboarding experience with PAY Digital.

Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility :



  • Manage the Professional Service team (Team of Project Managers) and indirectly the technical integrators in the region.
  • Manage the relationship with the regional sales and business teams from one side and the Thales CDI PAY corporate and BL (Product Owners, Business Owners, R&D, Marketing & Management) from the other side.
  • Execute the BL and the CE&S management strategy in the region by executing these strategies and policies and being able to promote them and get buy-in from the regional stakeholders to help him achieve the target.
  • Achieve the KPIs from the region set by the CE&S Director in accordance with PAY annual targets. For example but not limited to (Customer satisfaction, Projects variance, Projects margin, On Time Delivery).
  • Provide the needed coaching and mentoring to his team of PMs and Integrators.
  • Assure smooth and successful execution of both the pre-sales and projects activities in his region.
  • Act as Regional PMO; manages Project Managers & integrators in the region; define their objectives & KPIs and the common processes to follow.
  • Develop Project Managers’ skills / knowledge; leads training and information sharing.
  • Work at the interface between the vertical and business teams, R&D and the Regional Sales.
  • Act Crisis Management Leader and escalation manager for the delivery part for the region.
  • Support the sales team during the pre-sales phase by building quotations and assure technical aspects, risks, planning are well considered and covered.
  • Proactively communicate and raise the awareness of CE&S management about the hot topics, ongoing projects and deals in the regions to align on the strategy to follow.
  • Build and tune (with accordance with CE&S BE Manager) the project life cycle processes as needed and fit for his region needed.
  • Assure operational rate for his team is meeting the target KPIs.
  • Roll out the different internal programs that are requested by CE&S Management.
  • Communicate actively and frequently with the region top customers that are identified as strategic for the regions and/or the BL.
  • Run peer reviews and audit to main and major projects in his region and being able to challenge project plans, scope of work, project risk register.
  • With accordance of Financial Controller team, Build and maintain a regional financial tracker for projects activities in the region.
  • Build and communicate regular projects status report to CE&S management and BL.
  • Review MRBOA (business case GO/No GO gate) for the projects opportunities in the region whenever required and shares his constructive feedback about scope, risks, timelines, etc. in the best way to maximize Thales benefit.
  • Assure local/regional site polices are duly respects by his team.
  • Assure smooth and clean handover to Operations team and efficient execution of the SDVR (project’s handover) process from delivery to operations teams (CRE).
  • Lead monthly SteerCo/Status meetings with the relevant internal stakeholders to present the status of all ongoing activities in his region.

Minimum Requirements: Skills, Experience & Education:



  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant related field of study.
  • +10 years of experience in people management.
  • Solid knowledge of PMP or other Project Management certification.
  • Knowledge on SaaS model, PM tools, monitoring tools.
  • Experience in direct cooperation with international customers & teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Very good organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and take initiatives.
  • Program Management.
  • Risk Management.
  • Project Finance.
  • Fluent in Professional English.
  • French is a plus.
  • Sound background of as many from: Digital Payment, Cloud Technologies, Infra, and environments AWS, Docker & Kubernetis), Solution Architecture and Mobile App development.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master’s degree in computer science.
  • PMI certification.
  • Experience working on cloud environment and SaaS model.
  • Work on different time zones with customers and teams located in different areas.
