Quantity Surveyor Engineer

Position Overview:

• As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in managing the costs and budget of civil engineering projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that the projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with the project team, contractors, and clients to ensure effective financial control and resource management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction and infrastructure projects.
• Monitor project costs and budgets, track expenditures, and ensure that projects are delivered within financial targets.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and assess the quantities of materials, labor, and overheads required for each project phase.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to discuss project requirements and evaluate bids.
• Manage procurement activities, including issuing tenders, analyzing bids, and preparing contracts.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variations, and final account submissions to clients and subcontractors.
• Conduct risk analysis and provide solutions to mitigate financial and contractual risks.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and provide recommendations for cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure that all contractual obligations are met and assist in resolving disputes as needed.
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure proper contract administration and effective communication.
