QHSE Officer (To be hired by Serco JV)
Khadamat Facilities Management LLC is a joint venture (JV) company formed to operate and provide Integrated Facilities Management Services to the new United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain.

Your Opportunity
Khadamat are looking for QHSE Officer who will provide support to the QHSE & Compliance Department in the provision of the QHSE Department outputs. Coordinate the support elements through attending QHSE concerns, performing HSE inductions, site inspections and monitoring of the subcontractor activities, internal auditing, analysis of statistics, trends & performance, and provision of reports for all elements relating to QHSE. Assume responsibility for supporting the implementation of the OHS&E processes, ensuring that safe working practices are maintained, followed, and adhered to at all times.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Good OHS&E knowledge, including understanding of compliance requirements,monitoring guidelines, and standards e.g. UAE Fire & Life Safety Code of Practice (UAE FLS CoP), NFPA standards, Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety & Health System Framework, etc
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills, in English language, and ability to writeaudit reports and other departmental reports as required
- Good ability to deliver HSE Induction and support other HSE trainings, campaigns, programs,and workshops to a multi-cultural and ethnically diverse workforce
- Good knowledge of MS Office based software systems, particularly MS Word, MS Excel, MSPowerPoint, & MS Outlook
- Good organisational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle tasks efficiently, andprioritising as required
This role is part of the Khadamat team and will be based in Al Ain, UAE.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor and support Khadamat integrated management system, performance, processes, procedures, and local work instructions for validity and compliance
- Support and assist the Internal Audit program and to monitor compliance and the outputs of the Internal Auditors
- Support the management and monitoring of the QHSE database
- Produce routine & ad hoc QHSE reports as required
- Carry out Inspection and produce reports for all UAEU Premises within Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, andOther Emirates
- Carry out internal audits when required of Occupational Health & Safety Management System(OHSMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Quality Management System(QMS)
- Liaise and engage with the Khadamat Departments, strategic partners, and contractors/subcontractors’ representatives, and relevant UAEU departments as required toensure QHSE matters, and requirements are being followed and maintained
- Support in conducting and review of all Risk Assessments
- Carry out or assist in conducting OHS and Environment inspections of workplaces.
- Report daily to QHSE & Compliance Manager regarding incident occurrence, audit findings,non-conformances, and other QHSE issues
- Carry out and/or support incident investigation, analysis, and reporting
- Provide support to all employees on matters relating to QHSE
- Deliver routine HSE Inductions to New Joiners and Contractors
Specific Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in a QHSE Inspector/Officer role preferably in a FM,Property Management or Hotel/Hospitality environment
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (sciences or relevant HSE field is a plus) or Minimum of a Diploma in HSE related field
- Hold a recognized international qualification in HSE, minimum NEBOSH International General Certificate
- Hold IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or other level 2/3 certificates
- Hold Abu Dhabi OSH Practitioner Course Certificate
- Hold ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 Internal Auditor
- Knowledge on Environmental Sustainability and ISO 14001:2018 Internal Auditor
- Holder of a UAE Driving License
