On a given day, you will:
Be the strategic compass for QA. Lead the QA function with foresight, aligning its goals and objectives with Deriv’s broader business vision. Identify potential blockers and risks before they arise, ensuring smooth delivery pipelines across products and platforms.
Cultivate a culture of collaboration and innovation. Resolve conflicts between functions and streamline communication channels across teams. Empower your QA teams to communicate directly and effectively, removing unnecessary dependencies or bottlenecks.
Define and drive QA excellence. Develop and implement KPIs for the QA function to measure and improve team performance and product quality. Ensure the QA function is equipped with the right skills and tools to meet evolving challenges.
Be a technical problem solver. Help teams tackle technically challenging problems, leveraging your expertise to guide decision-making in complex scenarios.
Enable sustainable growth. Identify skill gaps within the QA function and work closely with internal recruitment teams to scale the team effectively, ensuring we’re always equipped to handle future demands.
Champion cutting-edge QA practices. Stay ahead of industry trends in testing tools, methodologies, and technologies. Promote continuous improvement through innovative solutions like low-code and AI-driven testing approaches.
You may enjoy working with us if you:
Experience in the fintech industry or with financial trading platforms
Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) or agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile Coach)
Experience with agile project management frameworks
Experience working with advanced tools like AI-based testing platforms and low-code automation solutions
We would love to work with you if you:
10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role
Proven experience defining and implementing QA strategies and KPIs at a functional level
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and low code/no code tools, such as Cypress, or Testim
Solid understanding of agile and DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous delivery
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience managing cross-functional conflicts and fostering collaboration
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a strategic mindset and proactive desire to eliminate roadblocks that restrict project momentum
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively across teams and levels of the organisation
Experience scaling QA teams, including defining roles, identifying skill gaps, and overseeing recruitment efforts
