1. Assist in monitoring the performance of the public bus network, evaluating deficiencies, and
proposing solutions.
2. Assist in assessing the efficiency of current bus infrastructure such as bus depots, bus stations,
bus terminals, and bus stops; and propose improvements/enhancements.
3. Advise in reviewing relevant department NOC’s.
4. Review the route productivity and suggest measures to enhance passenger ridership.
5. Conduct site visits to bus stations, stops and other public transport spots where necessary.
6. Monitor the implementation of service improvement plans in collaboration with service teams
and follow up with concerned departments to ensure effective service development at bus
stations/stops.
7. Assist the Agency in efficient utilization of resources including buses and manpower.
8. Assist & advise the Planning & Business Development Department in developing network
plans that reflect the strategic objectives of client including seamless
integration with other transit modes.
9. Develop appropriate network strategy, service standards and performance indicators to
achieve optimum level of service to the customers and operational efficiency.
10. Undertake reviews and investigations of operational and administrative matters and prepare
reports as requested.
11. Review the route productivity and suggest measures to enhance passenger ridership.
12. Liaise with other Agencies and Departments in client for successful planning and designing for Metro bus integration project.
13. Evaluate the passenger demand on the existing network as well as from new developments:
this will include conducting field surveys and collection of data from various Authorities,
Agencies and property developers.
14. Examine the Traffic Impact Studies and ROWPS applications sent to client for its
recommendation/ approval in the interest of public bus operations and bus network. Liaise
with other agencies, contractors and developers in processing the applications.
15. Support transportation planning studies conducted by others including transportation master
plans and traffic impact studies and make sure of aligning the results to Dubai public
transportation master plan.
16. Coordinate with other departments and agencies to support customer satisfaction.
17. Provide recommendations and solutions to enhance the overall customer experience.
18. Perform other responsibilities related to the position as appropriate.
19. Any other responsibilities, tasks, and roles assigned by the department.
