The experienced inhouse PMO/Project Manager/Analyst plays vital role in driving successful implementation of PMO processes within our company. Working within dynamic and rapidly changing industry, the individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee and deliver PMO processes and projects. The successful candidate will work directly with senior leadership teams and key subject matter experts to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget under the leadership of head of project management/strategy execution function.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Governance:
Define, implement, and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and tools.
Align projects and programs with the organization’s strategic objectives.
Develop governance frameworks to ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.
Act as a central point of contact for project reporting and decision-making.
Portfolio Management:
Oversee the project portfolio, ensuring optimal resource allocation and prioritization.
Monitor project health, status, and performance metrics across the portfolio.
Facilitate project selection and approval processes in collaboration with leadership.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
Track and report on project performance, budgets, risks, and milestones.
Develop dashboards and reports for executive stakeholders.
Ensure project teams adhere to timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
Support & Training:
Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for project managers and teams.
Offer guidance on risk management, resource planning, and stakeholder communication.
Support project managers with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance project delivery.
Facilitate lessons learned sessions to build organizational knowledge.
Tools & Systems:
Manage project management software tools and ensure their effective use.
Evaluate and recommend tools to enhance PMO effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management:
Foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including department heads, subject matter experts, and executives.
Collaborate across different teams to ensure seamless project coordination and collaboration.
Facilitate regular projects update meetings and presentations for stakeholders, providing clear and concise information on project status, risks, and critical decisions.
Address stakeholder concerns and ensure transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience/Qualifications and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications (preferred).
Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA) are a plus
5–10 years of experience in project/program management or a PMO role.
Proven experience implementing and managing PMOs in complex organizations.
Experience with portfolio management and governance frameworks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies, MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Jira, Wrike, etc.
Strong analytical skills for interpreting project data and metrics.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize competing demands and guide teams through challenging situations.
Must be a self-starter who is able to plan and lead work sessions with little oversight
Good knowledge and experience in Scaled Agile Framework and Agile overall
Strategic thinking and planning.
Proficiency in portfolio and resource management.
Expertise in risk management and governance.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Adaptability and ability to manage ambiguity.
