This role requires an individual with more than just experience across programme and project delivery. To be successful this individual will need to be able to shift from strategic design and work at a macro level quickly to detailed planning and analysis. They must assimilate new information at pace, leverage data to support building hypotheses and lead with a commercial and pragmatic approach to decision making. All combined to ensure successful delivery of strategic and transformation initiatives across the MENAT portfolio in support of growth, regulatory change requirements, and all in line with Group Values. MENAT Transformation team delivers across Global Businesses and Functions, and initiatives span all aspects of Transformation, from Product to Process, to Technology and People.
Programme Managers plan, mobilise and direct change programmes and projects of varying complexity from inception to closure. They act as a role model, demonstrating active leadership and communication. Programme Managers are responsible for ensuring successful deployment of the Change Framework and instilling good programme discipline.
To be successful in the role, the individual will take end-to-end responsibility for all aspects of their programmes; working with product owners to define and plan the projects, managing mobilisation, balancing demand with funding and resource supply, controlling execution and managing implementation, change and benefit realisation. They work closely with the Regional Head of Transformation to ensure alignment of their work with the wider MENAT portfolio and Group Strategy, Values and Behaviours.
Duties & Responsibilities:• Excellent understanding of transformation, Waterfall and/ or Agile methodologies and best practice techniques• Strong understanding of Value Stream driven transformation. • Understanding of the delivery organisations within HSBC – global mindset, understanding of delivery partners etc.• Strong knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, political, competitors etc.• Experience or understanding of financial services / banking and subsequently of how change drives benefits for HSBC, its customers and other stakeholders is preferred• Understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes and objectives would be advantageous
