Within St. Jude, the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission by training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.
SJG is at a pivotal moment in the development of its Regional Programs, establishing hubs across the globe to improve outcomes for children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases around the world. St. Jude has established the St. Jude Global Operations Platform LLC – Rep. Office (SJGOP), a foreign branch of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, as the first regional hub, which is in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. SJG is seeking a dedicated Regional Hub Program Coordinator to plan and execute programs and projects in the first regional hub. This hub will drive the work of SJG’s Eastern Mediterranean Region, which has partnerships with more than 40 institutions across 15 countries in the region. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the new Regional Hub Program Manager and other team members to manage engagement with regional partners. Because this is a new position, the responsibilities will evolve over time, which means that the Programs Coordinator will have an opportunity to shape their role.
The Program Coordinator will require a physical presence in the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Hub office in Dubai, providing on the ground support for Hub programs, ensuring work is effective, efficient, and aligned with the St. Jude brand and mission.
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Supporting strategic planning and execution of the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Program, including defining objectives, approaches, goals, periodic reporting and communication;
- Implementing multiple projects under the Eastern Mediterranean Program, including maintaining project plans, creating stakeholder communications, tracking expenditures, and monitoring overall progress towards project objectives;
- Supporting engagement with regional collaborators (i.e., St. Jude Global Alliance members, governments, strategic partner organizations such as the World Health Organization), including performing outreach, scheduling meetings, and maintaining relationships, as the hub establishes itself in region;
- Supporting connections between internal stakeholders and partners in the Eastern Mediterranean region;
- Tracking Eastern Mediterranean Program success metrics, analyzing and interpreting data, and developing program-related reports for stakeholders and for presentations at meetings and conferences;
- Represent St. Jude Global and the Regional Hub in the region (e.g., attending meetings and conferences);
- Executing St. Jude Global Alliance relationship management processes, including applicant and member tracking in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool;
- Coordinating end-to-end event management processes (e.g., pre-event planning, preparation, and facilitation) for meetings, workshops, and other events, both in-person and virtual;
- Creating, processing, and maintaining contracts with partners in the region;
- Managing the coordination of site visits and facilitating site support with regional Alliance members.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
Minimum Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in program management and delivery;
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook Calendar tools, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required;
- Experience building relationships with diverse actors across an ecosystem for collaboration and program delivery;
- Experience working with project planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview) and CRM tool (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot, Microsoft Dynamics) preferred;
- Experience in program budget tracking, reporting, and risk management preferred;
- Experience working with international organizations such as the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the World Bank, or other parts of the United Nations preferred;
- Experience working in different countries and/or cultural contexts preferred;
- Experience working in a decentralized organization with multiple offices preferred.
