The Private Label Import Manager is responsible for sourcing, importing, and managing private label products for the supermarket chain. This role involves working closely with international suppliers, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with import regulations, and optimizing the supply chain to enhance profitability and product availability. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing & Supplier Management: Identify and develop relationships with international suppliers for private label products. Evaluate supplier capabilities, negotiate pricing, and ensure quality standards. Import & Compliance: Manage the end-to-end import process, ensuring compliance with international trade laws, import regulations, and product labeling requirements. Category & Product Development: Work closely with category managers and marketing teams to identify new product opportunities and develop private label offerings that align with consumer demand and company strategy. Cost Optimization: Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and freight partners to optimize landed costs, ensuring cost-effective supply chain operations. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with logistics, warehousing, and distribution teams to ensure smooth importation, customs clearance, and inventory management. Quality Assurance: Ensure all imported private label products meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Conduct supplier audits and implement quality control measures. Market Research & Trend Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, competitor analysis, and emerging opportunities in the private label segment to enhance the product portfolio.
