KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for producing deliverables such as Instrument Design Basis, Instrument Index, I/O Lists, Block Diagrams, Bill of Quantities, Instrument Specifications, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Control Narratives and Safety Narratives, Loop Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Hook-up Drawings, Instrument Location Layouts, Cable Tray Layouts, F&G Layouts, Control Room Layouts, Cable Schedules, Junction Box Schedules, Cable Drum Schedules, Installation Drawings, Alarm & Trip Schedules, Material Take-Off Lists etc.
Responsible for procurement related activities such as preparation of Inquiry Requisition, participate in Technical Evaluation of vendor offers, Purchase Requisitions, Preparation and providing guidance on Technical Bid Evaluations and Vendor Document Reviews.
Review the ITB (Invitation To Bid) documents submitted in the proposals stage, Contract documents, issue inquiry requisitions, review techno-commercial vendor offers, prepare equipment, material and man-hour estimates.
IMAC knowledge with key interface skills.
Participate in workshops such as HAZOP, Design Reviews and undertake SIL studies and Alarm Management studies with client and representatives of other engineering disciplines.
Responsible for coordination with client, PMCs, consortium partners, subcontractors, other discipline engineers and Project team.
Coordinate with other discipline and work center Engineers and ensure that the project requirements are implemented in the design.
Supervising and leading the team for carrying out the project/proposal activities.
Fully involve in the planning of activities, preparation of TDR, developing manpower charts/schedules, manpower distribution, monitor the schedule and ensure the project design activities completes within the allotted manhours and schedule
Arrange / participate in FAT, SAT, HAT and commissioning of Integrated Control and Safety Systems, Packages and Instrument items.
Support the construction, commissioning and start-up activities, so as to ensure no delay.
Participating in cross-functional and inter-office meetings to provide design inputs to Engineering team.
Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks during project stage.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Instrument or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 12 to 15 years of related Offshore HVAC / HVDC Platforms experience preferable from a background in working for consultancy organizations in the FEED and EPC of the Offshore HVAC / HVDC Platforms and Oil and Gas Industry.
Preferable candidates having experience on working with HE/ ABB.
Conversant with software like SPI, SP3D etc.
Good knowledge of international safety standards and practices
Good presentation, training and communication skills to both internal and external stakeholders
Strong time management skills including ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities
Effective technical writing skills in English.
