Role Overview: The PMO Manager plays a critical role within AMEAPAC by providing governance, strategic oversight, and alignment across regional project teams. Acting as a strategic partner to the business, this role ensures project delivery aligns with organizational goals, optimizes resource allocation, and fosters cross regional collaboration.


What you’ll do:


Standardization, Governance across AMEAPAC


  • Establish and maintain a project governance framework, ensuring consistent standards, alignment with strategic objectives, and adherence to processes across all regional teams.


  • Define region wise PDR governed project framework (MWs, complexity)


  • Own and continually improve project management processes documented in the Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and industry best practices.


  • Drive consistency and efficiency in project delivery through standardized tools and methodologies.


  • Foster a collaborative environment by facilitating cross-regional knowledge sharing and mentorship.


  • Embed comprehensive risk management framework.


  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.


Project management capability development


  • Lead efforts to develop project management capabilities, conducting skills assessments and implementing training programs to meet international standards across AMEAPAC.


  • Support efforts to develop senior stakeholders’ familiarity with project management terminology and procedures.


Stakeholder Engagement


  • Act as the primary point of contact for project-related updates and communication, from project inception to operational handover (sales to operations).


  • Define and track project KPIs, ensuring timely and accurate reporting on project status, including cost, schedule, scope, and risk, for executive-level visibility, ensuring timely and accurate updates on project progress and risk.


  • Define and manage the communication strategy for the PMO, ensuring timely, consistent, and accurate updates to all stakeholders.


Continuous Optimization


  • Discover and execute process enhancements to improve PMO operations.


  • Perform post-project evaluations, ensuring insights and lessons learned are captured and applied through central repository


  • Conduct project audits and performance reviews, including stage-gate assessments (Kickoff, Initiation, Planning, Execution, Close-out), to ensure compliance with governance standards and identify areas for improvement.


You’ll have the following skills and experience: 


  • Proven experience in leading a strategic PMO or project governance function within a global or regional matrix organization.


  • 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years managing complex, large- scale projects in a leadership role.


  • Deep understanding of project governance, risk management, and performance monitoring frameworks.


  • Strong experience in stakeholder management, influencing senior leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.


  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align project execution to organizational goals.


  • Expertise in managing large, diverse teams across multiple regions.


  • Proficiency in developing and managing executive-level reporting and dashboards.


  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.


  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.


  • Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2.
