Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced PMC Process Lead Engineer to oversee and manage process engineering activities for a major Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Abu Dhabi. The Process Lead Engineer will be responsible for ensuring process designs meet project specifications, international standards, and safety requirements. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience in managing process engineering within large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all process engineering activities, ensuring designs and documentation comply with project requirements and international standards.
• Develop, review, and approve process design deliverables, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and material balance calculations.
• Perform process simulations and calculations to ensure optimal design solutions for the project.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges during the design and construction phases.
• Ensure integration of process designs with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
• Conduct technical reviews and support HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL studies to ensure process safety and operability.
• Provide technical input for the selection of equipment, materials, and systems to meet process requirements.
• Support the resolution of technical queries (TQ) and manage changes to process designs as required.
• Prepare process engineering reports, documentation, and progress updates for project stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting technical excellence and professional growth.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 12-15 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on Oil & Gas or large-scale pipeline construction projects.
  • Experience in a PMC environment is highly desirable.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO-II).
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and standards related to process engineering (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills for effective team management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic project environment.
