About the Team
The Operations team at Careem is the backbone of our business, ensuring seamless execution across our platform. We optimize processes, improve efficiencies, and leverage data-driven decisions to enhance the experience for both Captains and customers. As part of this dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in shaping operational strategies through deep data insights and performance analysis.
We seek a Planning and Performance Lead to drive data-backed decision-making across our Captain and delivery operations. You will be responsible for analyzing key operational metrics, optimizing fleet performance, and ensuring efficient planning to meet demand. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, optimize cost structures, and drive strategic initiatives that impact Careem’s core business.
What You’ll Do
Develop and manage performance dashboards to track key operational KPIs for Captains and deliveries. Analyze fleet utilization, demand-supply balance, and operational costs to identify improvement areas. Build forecasting models to support capacity planning and ensure optimal supply availability. Collaborate with operations, marketplace, and finance teams to drive data-led decision-making. Monitor delivery efficiency, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements. Lead data-driven projects to enhance Captain engagement, retention, and overall delivery performance. Support strategic initiatives by providing deep-dive analysis on operational trends and business impact.
What You’ll Need
3+ years of experience in operations planning, performance analysis, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Excel, Python, and other data tools. Experience working with large datasets and building performance dashboards (Tableau, Looker, or similar). Solid understanding of demand forecasting, supply chain operations, and fleet management. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data insights into strategic actions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across multiple teams. Prior experience in ride-hailing, logistics, last-mile delivery, or mobility is a plus.
