Job summary
MISSION:
Responsible for developing and managing project schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely project delivery. The Planning Engineer will play a critical role in coordinating with various project teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
TASKS:
Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project). Establish milestones and deadlines to ensure timely project completion. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary schedule inputs and constraints. Monitor project progress against the established schedule and report any deviations or delays. Identify potential risks and delays and develop mitigation strategies. Facilitate project meetings and workshops to discuss progress, issues, and corrective actions. Manage and document changes to the project scope, schedule, and resources. Assess the impact of changes on the project schedule and provide recommendations. Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with project standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular quality checks on project schedules and related documentation.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) is preferred. 8+ years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector, with a strong EPC background. Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling principles, techniques, and tools. Proficiency in project management software, in particular Primavera P6 and MS Project. Fluent level of written and spoken English.
