Job summary
MISSION:
Responsible for performing piping stress analysis, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and coordinating with other engineering disciplines.
TASKS:
Conduct detailed piping flexibility and stress analysis using CAESAR II software. Evaluate piping systems for stress, thermal expansion, and support requirements. Develop and verify piping layouts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Design and analyze pipe supports, including selection and specification of support types. Ensure appropriate placement and design of supports to maintain system integrity. Collaborate with structural engineers to ensure proper integration of pipe supports with structural elements. Ensure all designs adhere to the Client’ standards and specifications. Conduct quality checks and reviews of flexibility analyses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including stress analysis reports, support schedules, and technical notes. Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word for data analysis, reporting, and documentation. Assist in the preparation of procurement documentation and vendor data reviews.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in piping flexibility analysis within the Oil & Gas sector, specifically in EPC offshore fixed facilities. Proven experience using CAESAR II software for piping stress analysis. Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards, including ASME B31.3, API, and others. Proven experience with Saudi Aramco, ADNOC or Qatargas standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data analysis and documentation. Fluent level of English, written and spoken.
