Job Purpose:
The Piping Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of piping systems within the scope of FEED Brownfield Design for onshore Oil & Gas projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications while adhering to safety and quality requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that meet project deadlines and objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee piping system designs, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry codes.
- Conduct stress analysis and ensure the integrity of piping systems, providing solutions for any identified issues.
- Prepare detailed piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and isometric drawings.
- Collaborate with project managers, other engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Facilitate design reviews and assessments, incorporating feedback into revisions as necessary.
- Participate in site surveys and field inspections to evaluate existing conditions and facilitate design optimization.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical support during construction, addressing any installation queries or challenges on-site.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the selection of appropriate materials and equipment for piping systems.
- Document and report on engineering activities, including design changes and modifications.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of piping design standards (ASME, ANSI, API, ISO).
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, or similar tools).
- Experience with piping stress analysis software (e.g., CAESAR II).
- Understanding of materials selection and corrosion prevention methodologies.
- Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards for oil and gas projects.
- Knowledge of HAZOP and risk assessment techniques.

Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in piping engineering, specifically within the oil and gas sector, with a focus on FEED Brownfield Design.
