Core Responsibilities:
Sales & Distribution Leadership: Assume full responsibility for the company's sales and distribution functions, guided by the pharma operations manager.Product Availability & Support: Ensure the listing and availability of products in pharmacies and hospitals, enabling product specialists to promote effectively.Process Optimization: Streamline processes, manage the sales team's CRM on a daily basis, and regularly visit pharmacies and hospitals to ensure our OTC and branded products receive strong support from the UAE pharmacist community. Provide continuous feedback to two line managers and product specialists on product performance.Team Leadership: Lead a team of approximately 10 sales representatives dedicated to branded and OTC products in the UAE, including partnered brands. Collaborate with the marketing team to meet sales goals across individual and chain pharmacies.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily sales and distribution operations.Drive sales numbers by maintaining an active, on-the-ground presence, with responsibility for meeting quarterly and annual targets set by the pharma operations manager.Ensure product availability across key accounts, chain pharmacies, and private pharmacies throughout the UAE.Manage product launches, inventory activities, payment collections, and reporting, using tools like Excel and PowerPoint to support the pharma operations manager.Familiarity with government and local tenders, contracts, and quotation processes for authorities such as MOH, DOH, SEHA, HAAD, DM, and Rafed.Knowledge of OTC product marketing concepts and the ability to oversee launches and follow-up sales in collaboration with the pharma operations manager.Conduct discreet market research and competitive product surveys, preparing reports for the pharma operations manager.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science (mandatory).Minimum of 10 years of experience with a pharmaceutical distributor focused on generics and branded OTC products in the UAE.Proven success in a pharma distribution manager role within the UAE, achieving strong financial targets and leading a multicultural sales team.Extensive knowledge of UAE pharmacy buyers, chain pharmacy owners, and private pharmacies across all emirates to drive sales and distribution activities.
