About the role
As Pastry Sous Chef – you will be assisting the Pastry Chef to ensure that the set food and pastry standards are consistently maintained and improved. You will also exhibit creative baking and decorating talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff in preparing quality and consistent pastries for all areas. In addition to this you will develop daily specials and ensure a variety of menu items offering local specialties, and plan pastry inventory in accordance with the forecasted business levels. Collaborating with the food and beverage management team to continually improve guest and colleague satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget is also required. In this role you will also continuously improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. You must ensure that the sanitation and maintenance of equipment, proper rotation of food and usage of merchandise is in accordance to the food safety standards.
About You
The ideal candidate must have Minimum 2 years’ experience as Sous Chef, Pastry or currently a Pastry Chef in an International luxury hotel or restaurant. The successful candidate must have culinary certificate and accredited education requirement, comprehensive knowledge of HACCP as well as general health & safety in the workplace.
