An exciting opportunity for a candidate with a solid background in freight forwarding to join our sea freight department in our Dubai branch.
This role will provide critical support to the Management and Team Leader at DSV and undertakes operational functions to ensure that the business development, operational and office management are carried out effectively and efficiently. As an operation executive, you are able to work with direction given, raise concerns and adhere to all deadlines provided. The person should have strong customer service and communication skills and take ownership of issues and provide resolution to clients.

Responsibilities:



Reporting to import team leader on day to day shipments. Co-ordinating with clients, DSV network and DSV Vendors. Routing shipments from inside sales and updating customers. Handle import and cross trade shipments of key and corporate accounts. Coordinating with Shipping Line and Co-loaders for Planning Vessel. Monitor the shared folder daily. Manage open jobs using our inhouse system and intercompany invoices through constant follow ups. Assisting team leader to lead the entire operations and documentation team. Provide all DSV products and services to the client / identify shipments where PS must be claimed etc. Identify quality leads from existing clients/ inactive clients/ new clients and provide the same to operations manager. Take ownership of external client visits when necessary. Follow up with Vendor, Co-loaders and liners for invoices. Meeting set KPIs Follow up with other branches for cargo coming from various locations. Other tasks assigned by management.

Invoicing:



Ensure accurate invoicing is completed daily and within 72 hours of shipment completion. All supporting documents are attached with the invoices, as per the client requirements. Ensure billing is 100% accurate Ensure timely resolution of any discrepancy in invoicing. Any delays to be communicated to manager. Credit note to be strictly avoided, an approval should be obtained from the operations manager prior to issuing any credit note.

Qualifications & Characteristics:



Experience of 3 years working in a customer service role in freight forwarding industry. A Bachelor’s degree Customer service oriented and result driven. Good communication, influencing and organization skills. Must be able to take ownership of problems and provide solutions to clients in a timely manner. Ability to handle customer complaints effectively and professionally within a timely manner Good knowledge of UAE import procedures. Excellent team player and support team as and when required. Ability to define requirements, analyse facts, and determine relevant solutions/actions to be taken. * Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
