JOB DESCRIPTION

The Oiler shall be responsible in ensuring the all equipment, tools, materials, etc. are in proper working condition.

• Ensures that adequate safety precautions are taken prior to any job.
• Report accidents, incidents and near misses immediately to the Manager.
• Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
• Perform daily maintenance prescribed in the maintenance manual and record the maintenance file.
• Maintain good and healthy relations among the superiors, colleagues and subordinates.
• To assist the Chief Engineer and Marine Mechanics in the maintenance and repair of vessel machinery equipment

SKILLS AND COMPETENCY

Qualified candidates should possess the following skills and competencies:

• Must be proficient in the English language
• Must have Intermediate Computer Skills
• Knowledge of UAE / International Maritime Laws
• Preventive Maintenance of Vessel Machines and Equipment
• Repair and Troubleshooting of Vessel Machines and Equipment
• Inventory of Spare Parts, Fuel, Oil and Auxiliaries
