Your Opportunity
We are looking for multi-skilled MEP Technician with the ability and qualifications to undertake both mechanical, electrical and civil maintenance tasks. Responsible for carrying out allocated project installation tasks, fault diagnosis and carry out remedial repairs on project works.
The ideal candidate should have the ability to multi-task and manage various tasks, and good communication. Excellent organisation, time management and prioritizing skills.
This role is part of the Technical team and will be based in our ADIA Contract in Abu Dhabi.
Key Accountabilities
- Carry out the project tasks including the electrical installations such as, lighting, emergency lighting and small power
- Integrate and communicate effectively with other technical staff as required.
- Participate in overtime, shift work and/or out of hours working as governed by the necessity to maintain continuity of operation of essential plant and systems.
- Participate in emergency on-call service during non-working hours, weekends and public holidays.
- Carry out project activities as directed by the Supervisor and adhere to Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Conform to all necessary internal and/or external approvals before, during and after project work including Permit to Work and LockOut / TagOut procedures
- Hands on experience in repairing pumps, replacement of seals, alignments of pump and motors.
Specific Requirements
- Must hold a vocational training certificate either mechanical, electrical or plumbing or other relevant and recognized qualifications in MEP maintenance and repair
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a building services, maintenance and/or facilities management environment
- Advance knowledge in electrical equipment and power supply and distributions systems and associated lighting and control systems in commercial buildings or other facilities management building services engineering environment.
- Able to foster good relations with colleagues and other departments and be a good team player
- Flexibility, excellent attention to detail and ability to identify key issues
- Able to work under stringent deadlines and high pressure environment
- Good level of English language both written and spoken.
