1. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Certifications such as LEED, PMP, or specific MEP design courses.
3. Generally, 5-8 years of relevant experience in MEP design, installation, or project management is preferred.
4. Experience with large-scale construction projects is advantageous.
5. Proficiency in MEP design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic can be a plus.
7. Familiarity with UAE building codes, regulations, and standards.
8. Knowledgeable in Civil Defense norms, UAE fire, and life safety system rules and regulations.
9. Proficiency in HAP (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning load calculation software) and duct sizing software.
10. Experience in pipe sizing and related calculations for MEP systems.
11. Understanding of safety regulations and practices in construction.
12. Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Licensing and Registration:
1. Dubai Municipality Approval: Engineers may need to obtain approval or registration with the Dubai Municipality or relevant regulatory bodies.
2. Professional Memberships: Membership in professional organizations (e.g., ASHRAE, CIBSE) can enhance credibility.
