Job Description
Overall responsibilities:
The Employee responsibility includes design and AutoCAD drafting of complete HVAC works including air distribution calculation, duct sizing, duct layout, refrigerant piping, chilled water piping, diffusers / grill sizing etc. and plumbing, drainage and firefighting layouts. The Employee responsibility includes drawing and preparation of HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage & Fire Fighting layout / Composite Shop Drawings including design calculation, piping design etc., Employee responsibility also includes site survey, preparation of As Built Drawings, Quantity take off etc. The Employee responsibility includes design and AutoCAD Drafting of complete Electrical works including small power, lighting layout, power layout, fire alarm, fire alarm, telephone, security, CCTV, MATV, lightning protection, and other works like Quantity take off, preparation of As Built drawings etc. The Employee responsibility includes preparation of COMBINED SERVICES shop drawings including preparation of HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Electrical etc., Employee responsibility also includes design works, Quantity take off, preparation of As Built drawings etc.
Day to day responsibilities:
Create detailed MEP drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, using AutoCAD or other relevant drafting software. Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and incorporate design changes as needed. Ensure that drawings adhere to project specifications, industry standards, and local building codes. Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural and structural plans to ensure seamless integration. Communicate effectively with other drafting team members to maintain consistency and accuracy across all drawings. Keep track of revisions and updates to MEP drawings throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation related to MEP drawings. Conduct self-reviews and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of MEP drawings. Assist in the identification and resolution of any discrepancies or issues in the drawings. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure design compliance and address any issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or related field with (04-07 Years experience) in the Oil & Gas industry, power and infrastructure both onshore and offshore (greenfield and brownfields).
Additional Information
Experience Requirements:
Experience level: 04-07 years 03 years or more experience in UAE or Middle East At least one project in ADNOC Group and/or with main contractor in oil & gas installations. Proven experience as an MEP Draftsman with a focus on creating detailed and accurate drawings. Strong understanding of MEP Systems and their integration into building designs. Proficient in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with MEP engineering. Fully conversant with authority requirements (ADM/ADDC/TRANSCO) and ADNOC Group standards in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE. HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
Skills & Professional Requirements:
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting systems. Ability to perform calculations and simulations for MEP systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in reading and interpreting MEP technical drawings and specifications. In-depth knowledge of MEP systems and installation processes. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the construction industry. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
