Develop and maintain detailed 3D models of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems using BIM software like Revit, AutoCAD MEP, or similar tools.
Create and update models for HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, and ELV systems based on project specifications.
Perform clash detection using software like Navisworks to identify and resolve conflicts between MEP systems and other building disciplines.
Coordinate with structural and architectural teams to ensure the seamless integration of all systems within the overall building design.
Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation plans derived from the BIM models.
Ensure the models and drawings comply with local regulations, project standards, and client requirements.
Update and maintain MEP BIM models throughout the design and construction phases, incorporating changes, revisions, and as-built data as required.
Ensure models are accurate, up to date, and accessible to relevant project stakeholders.
Work closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure the successful implementation of the MEP systems.
Attend coordination meetings and design review sessions to present and discuss model progress and issues.
Extract quantities and material lists from the BIM model for cost estimation, procurement, and project scheduling.
Assist in creating 4D models by linking time-based schedules with BIM models for construction planning.
Ensure that all MEP designs and models adhere to industry standards, building codes, and project-specific requirements.
Conduct regular quality checks and reviews of the BIM models for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Manage and maintain the BIM data associated with the MEP systems, including parametric details and specifications.
