MEDICAL SCIENCE LIAISON - KUWAIT
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will serve as the primary interface and field-based guide in Kuwait, collaborating with external medical collaborators to ensure data dissemination and generation across the Upper Gulf, in close partnership with other field-based Amgen functions:
Interact regularly with healthcare decision makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform, as aligned with Amgen’s company goals and objectives
Lead General Medicine medical affairs activities in Upper Gulf along defined local Medical Launch/Brand strategies
Communicate sophisticated innovative technical information and research concepts to healthcare decision makers
Identify and train members of Amgen’s speaker bureau and ensure they are updated on new data
Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision makers
Consolidate and communicate trends, market insights, and unmet needs identified in the field
Positively impact external perceptions and knowledge regarding company and company products
Maintain and demonstrate comprehensive and in-depth scientific TA Related knowledge when implementing assigned tactics
Ensure operational excellence by sharing best practices, takeaways including entrepreneurial and innovative ideas
Develop, implement and supervise the implementation of OL's scientific engagement plans
Act as a resource, liaison and facilitator for Investigator-sponsored trials and investigators, and support Amgen sponsored research
Coordinate with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations in providing field support for research studies and assist in the selection of clinical study sites
Provide training to HCPs (i.e. contracted speakers)
Identify and interact with influential members of the TA Medical community (HCPs/OLs) and other healthcare collaborators (public and private care organizations, patient groups) within Upper Gulf
Report Scientific interactions on ALIGN reporting system, ensure accurate tiering and OL profiling in Alignment with the MSL manager
Ensure accurate OL coverage, frequency of scientific interactions, proper balance between assigned scientific platforms and time on the field in alignment with the MSL manager
Represent company at Medical Education events, programs, meetings, congresses
Partner with external and internal collaborators to develop innovative solutions to improve patient care

Basic Qualifications:
Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry (Clinical Development / Medical Affairs/Clinical operations/Commercial operations)
Preferable prior proven experience as medical sciences liaison or in the Therapeutic Area
Advanced Clinical/Science Degree (e.g. MD, PhD) that provides knowledge of theories, principles and concepts within a relevant field
Moderate to advanced knowledge in Medical Education and Qualitative/Quantitative Research standards and reporting
Moderate to advanced knowledge in Medical Writing
Digital proficiency
Proficient in English and local languages
Meeting visa requirements to work in Kuwait
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in clinical study management and conduct/ Experience in scientific publication
Training in regional / local and international regulations including Good Clinical Practice
Advanced knowledge in Biostatistics and Epidemiology
Knowledge of regulatory, drug safety and clinical drug development
