POSITION SNAPSHOT Title: Mechanical Specialist
Location: Dubai-UAE
Main Purpose of the role:
Deliver specialized support to operations in area(s) such as a Specific Process or Product as well as support on Maintenance and Improvement (M & I) operational activities in the factory. Responsible for timely execution of preventive maintenance of plant equipment to eliminate breakdowns while reducing and optimizing planned maintenance and related shutdowns to ensure product & people safety is never compromised. Continuously pursue machine improvements to sustain machine basic condition and improve performance and safety.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
SHE: Always ensure that work permits are maintained for all contractors' activities. Lead the machinery safety risk assessments and Implement machine improvements related to the identified Safety gaps resulting from machinery safety assessments and red tags. Lead the ergonomics risk assessments and support closure of identified ergonomics gaps.
Quality: Ensure maintenance hygiene practices are always followed while conducting preventive maintenance, line intervention and contractors' activities. Ensure proper line release procedures are followed after interventions & completion of controls' activities. Participate in NGHE assessments, gasket & bolt management studies & lead action plan gap closures.
People Development: Maintain and deploy the corresponding Engineering Competence of his/her expertise. Assist training and skills assessment to the MWG members as a leader.
M&I: Enable high performance Operations, by providing assets' Maintenance according to the Nestlé Strategy, using TPM/PM as the multi-disciplined approach to maintain/improve fixed assets, and AMM to manage their life cycle.
Project Management. Support in Capital Investments projects in his Plant ensuring that the technical solution follows corporate and market standards and is delivered with the expected quality.
Compliance: Ensure process and equipment safety for people, products, and the environment, and that everyone demonstrates an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations. Ensures that change management is in place to appropriately manage modifications in the engineering compliance. Responsible for the workshop compliance in the plant.
NCE: MWG leader & key contact point for AMM responsible for TPM implementation across assigned plant/line through adherence to MWG implementation plan as part from PM implementation plan and take ownership of own development plan.
Manage existing assets: Support and participate in the implementation maintenance methodologies (PM pillar, foundations), as a leader of MWG. Support production to eliminate quality defects, safety risks and chronic technical issues. Ensure adherence to applicable standards in the area of responsibility, contractor management and support maintenance planner to finalize the maintenance plans.
• Academic Experience: Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Operational Experience: Minimum 3 years in the corresponding technical field, in the manufacturing industry
• Experience Working in multifunctional team (projects)
• Personnel Supervision (of technical teams, contractors or other 3rd parties)
• Exposure to TPM, preventive maintenance planning and/or maintenance execution desired.
