Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a well-known Insurance provider based in Dubai. Our client is looking to hire a manager who will be responsible for managing the client's underwriting team and drive the team to achieve their targets. 

Key Accountabilities:
-  Lead and manage the motor underwriting team, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to perform their roles effectively- Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and policies for motor insurance products to ensure they meet company standards and market needs.
- Collaborate closely with the actuarial team to ensure that motor insurance products are accurately priced and aligned with risk assessments.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory updates to ensure motor insurance products remain competitive and compliant with current standards.
- Expand the product portfolio by developing new motor insurance offerings that address customer needs and market demand.
- Oversee a high-value vehicle portfolio, ensuring underwriting decisions strike a balance between risk and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers and reinsurance partners, to support business growth.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to stay informed on trends, best practices, and emerging issues.


Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, insurance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPCU) are advantageous.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in underwriting, with a focus on motor insurance, and proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills. - Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office.
